Address Cleansing is a data washing service that helps you reduce dead mail costs and receive bulk mailing discounts from Australia Post.

 

Improve the accuracy of your customer addresses

A typical organisation will have errors in 10-40% of its customers' addresses. These errors can include misspelled street names, wrong suburbs, or missing postcodes. The Address Cleansing service will correct your customer addresses to Australia Post standard. This will help you reduce your dead mail costs and help ensure that more of the mail pieces you send out reach their intended recipients.

The Address Cleansing service will also add the Australia Post Delivery Point Identification (DPID) numbers to your customer address records. These numbers are required in order to qualify for the bulk mailing discounts offered by Australia Post.

 

How does it work?

You send us a file with a list of addresses (of your customers) that you'd like to have verified and corrected. We can accept many different address formats and file types.

We'll cleanse the addresses and return them to you in a file. We will also produce a report showing how many addresses were corrected, what types of corrections were made, and how many address records were unable to be corrected due to the insufficiency of the original data.

Note that we also offer a standalone address cleansing software package called GeoCoder that you can integrate into your in-house IT systems.

Address Cleansing is available as an offline service and is also available online through our Data Express web portal. Data Express allows you to perform various data enhancement jobs quickly and easily by uploading your data to a secure website, specifying the enhancements you want, and submitting your job for immediate processing.
